I’m weak as a kitten today, and have spent the majority of it sleeping on the couch. But the rain moved in early, and it’s supposed to drop to near freezing, so I decided I should blanket Sully. Since he was “pre-soaked,” I settled on using the cooler under the turnout sheet. The cooler wicks away the moisture, and the sheet will keep it away.
Of course, it was pouring when I got there. I debated on whether I should take the extra energy to halter him and bring him in to do it, but that just seemed like too much. So I carried it all out into the slippery mud. He was down in the trees, but came right up to the gate. He didn’t move a muscle while I messed with getting both sheets on him right, and messed with 13 assorted buckles and clips.
I have a good horse.
