Another absolutely brilliant innovation from Schneider Saddlery, this sheet of plastic is the next best thing to having an extra pair of hands when stuffing a hay net. Perhaps you would have to be familiar with the sheer aggravation of hay nets to fully appreciate this thing. It is a flat, flexible sheet of sturdy plastic. You roll it up into a tube, stick it down inside the collapsed hay net, and then let it loose. It pops open and supports the net for filling.
You may then fill with your hands or a pitchfork. I get it about half full, then pull the Stablehand out and finish stuffing to get the most in there that I can. I haven’t tried using it with any but these small-diamond slow-feed nets, but I don’t see why it wouldn’t work with any hay net. It also holds open any kind of bag, like garbage bags, grain bags, even pillow cases.
I’d recommend this product to anyone for a variety of uses. It is well worth the $15 price tag. I only wish I’d thought of it myself!
